About the Opportunity
Currently, Converge Construction has an exciting opportunity available for a General Construction Labourer to join our team at our Langley, BC site on a full-time basis.
As our new General Construction Labourer, you'll play a vital role within our company. Reporting directly to the site superintendent, you will be responsible for the site cleanliness, assisting site carpenters, and operating a skid steer.
Your more typical responsibilities within this role will include:
- Removing rubble and other debris from the construction site.
- Sweeping and vacuuming out units.
- Digging, raking, and levelling out the soil.
- Forming sidewalks and driveways.
- Tying rebar.
- Operating a skid steer.
- Mixing, pouring, and spreading material.
- Supporting other team members and ensuring our Customers, our Subtrades, and our Site Superintendents are happy.
More About You
In order to apply for this role, you will need a driver's license and access to your own transportation along with a love for working outdoors. You'll also need experience using power tools and knowledge of how to use a skill saw. This role will require you to be physically fit with the ability to easily lift 50lbs.
As our ideal candidate, you'll join us with good communication skills in English as well as basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure. You'll also be an energetic individual who is hardworking, reliable, and eager to learn.
